  9. * Windows NT Systems magazine looked at a range of range of anti-virus
  10.   software in its September 1997 edition.  Although no virus-detection
  11.   tests were conducted they described Dr Solomon's as "one of the
  12.   most experienced companies in the anti-virus software market", and
  13.   concluded: "Dr Solomon's Management Edition is one of the most
  14.   powerful packages available and is loaded with scalable
  15.   admninistrative features".
  16.  
  17. * The September 1997 edition of PC Magazine (UK) tested a range of
  18.   anti-virus products for NT Servers.  Dr Solomon's was the only
  19.   product to detect 100% of the in-the-wild viruses, detected and
  20.   cleaned more viruses than any other product, and detected over 20%
  21.   more macro viruses than any other product tested.

  23.   Dr Solomon's was awarded with the title PC Magazine Editors' Choice:
  24.   "Dr Solomon's Anti-Virus Toolkit Management Edition lets you keep
  25.   even an enterprise-level network free of infection easily.  Add the
  26.   outstanding detection rate, and you have an unbeatable product".

  28. * The September 1997 edition of PC Home conducted a comparative
  29.   review of anti-virus products, with Dr Solomon's coming out
  30.   in top position: "Dr Solomon's is generally known as the package
  31.   that sets the standard and has an impressive reputation in the
  32.   corporate sector.. superb technical support.. top quality
  33.   R&D department".

  35. * The August 1997 issue of MacUser reviewed Dr Solomon's Anti-Virus
  36.   Toolkit for Apple Macintosh, concluding "Given the company's
  37.   reputation for being on the leading edge of antiviral development
  38.   for DOS and Windows systems, this is a newcomer to watch."
  39.  
  40. * In July 1997 The University of Hamburg Virus Test Center released
  41.   a detailed study measuring the effectiveness of anti-virus scanners
  42.   against over 10,000 viruses. 
  43.  
  44.   The Virus Test Center report concluded Dr Solomon's FindVirus scanner
  45.   detected more viruses overall than any other product; detected 100% of
  46.   the in-the-wild viruses; detected more file viruses than any other
  47.   product; and detected more boot sector viruses than any other product.
  48.   Dr Solomon's FindVirus outscored all other tested products in DOS,
  49.   Windows 95, and Windows NT environments.

  61.   Anti-Virus Toolkit for Windows NT Server Management Edition,
  62.   describing it as a having a "good reputation for virus detection"
  63.   and concluded that it was a "comprehensive network anti-virus
  64.   tool"
  65.  
  66. * The July 1997 issue of ROM magazine tested Dr Solomon's
  67.   HomeGuard AntiVirus, concluding that: "HomeGuard works very
  68.   well..  Dr Solomon's have an outstanding reputation as a
  69.   leader in antivirus research and computer protection

  71. * In July 1997 Personal Computer World reviewed Dr Solomon's
  72.   HomeGuard awarding it the title of "Great Buy".

  74. * The July 1997 edition of Computer Buyer described Dr Solomon's
  75.   Anti-Virus Toolkit as "ideal for the business organisation".

  77. * In June 1997 the German magazine PCPraxis reviewed eight
  78.   anti-virus products, with Dr Solomon's awarded first place
  79.   and the title of "excellent".  Dr Solomon's found more viruses
  80.   than any other package: "Dr Solomon's Anti-Virus Toolkit is one
  81.   of the most highly perfected antiviral packages in the
  82.   performance test".

  84. * The June 16th 1997 edition of InfoWorld reviewed Dr Solomon's
  85.   Anti-Virus Toolkit for Windows NT Server: "Virus scanning,
  86.   detection and response can be easily managed with this system.
  87.   Overall, I was pleased with Anti-Virus Toolkit for Windows NT
  88.   Server.  It is easy to use and makes an excellent addition
  89.   to the virus-fighting arsenal of any site".

  91. * The 5 June 1997 edition of Milwaukee City Edition reviewed
  92.   Dr Solomon's AntiVirus:  "Such positive consumer contact and
  93.   cooperation makes Dr Solomon's a very effective anti-virus
  94.   package -- and it certainly builds brand loyalty.  Like it
  95.   or not, anti-virus software is an absolute necessity today,
  96.   and it is best to possess a product that can adapt and change
  97.   with the times.  It's good to know that with AntiVirus, the
  98.   doctor is always in".

  100. * The 2 June 1997 edition of InfoWorld looked at Dr Solomon's
  101.   Anti-Virus, and found it detected more viruses than any other
  102.   product tested.  They concluded it was "the best workstation-based
  103.   anti-virus utility of its class on the market... Dr Solomon's
  104.   virus scanner will also scan for files in nested ZIP files -
  105.   a feat that no other anti-virus utility can manage".

  107. * The June 97 edition of Secure Computing reviewed Dr Solomon's
  108.   Anti-Virus Toolkit for Windows NT Server including Management
  109.   Edition, praising its of use and powerful administration facilities.
  110.   Secure Computing awarded it full marks overall, and concluded
  111.   "Overall, we thought this was exactly the sort of package that
  112.   was needed to manage Dr Solomon's Anti-Virus Toolkits... it puts
  113.   the management of your security where it really needs to be - with
  114.   you".

  116. * The June 97 edition of PC Home magazine reviewed Dr Solomon's
  117.   Anti-Virus Toolkit: "Dr Solomon's is arguably the best virus
  118.   protection for your PC to date.  It's feature packed and uses
  119.   powerful detection and prevention techniques... Dr Solomon's
  120.   is a powerful, yet simple to use, tool to have in your arsenal".

  122. * In May 1997 the German Magazine PC Intern tested seven anti-virus
  123.   programs, with Dr Solomon's winning the top award of "Best Buy".

  125. * The May 1997 edition of German magazine ComputerBild tested
  126.   eight anti-virus products, with Dr Solomon's Anti-Virus Toolkit
  127.   being ranked first and was the only product to gain a quality
  128.   rating of "excellent".  "Dr Solomon's Anti-Virus Toolkit is one
  129.   step ahead of its competitors.  It managed to discover nearly
  130.   100% of the viruses, providing good protection for your computer".

  132. * The May 1997 edition of ComputerScope conducted a comparative review
  133.   of six anti-virus products, with Dr Solomon's being awarded the top
  134.   accolade of "Best Buy": "Top-notch performance.. best overall
  135.   virus detection and removal".

  137. * In May 97 Evesham Micros online magazine reviewed the Windows 95
  138.   versions of Dr Solomon's Anti-Virus Toolkit and Norton AntiVirus.
  139.   Dr Solomon's came out in top place: "Dr Solomon's is ideal for
  140.   regular Internet users, as it is capable of virus checking the
  141.   type of compressed files found on the Internet.  As such, it's
  142.   the only package to offer complete virus protection... The extensive
  143.   capabilities of Dr Solomon's Anti-Virus Toolkit are highly
  144.   recommended".

  146. * The May 1997 edition of Virus Bulletin conducted a comparative review
  147.   of over 20 anti-virus products for Windows 95.  Not only did Virus
  148.   Bulletin test the detection results of on-demand scanners, but
  149.   on-access scanners as well.  Dr Solomon's was one of only two products
  150.   to score a perfect 100% in the boot sector, file, and polymorphic
  151.   virus detection tests for both the on-demand *and* on-access scanners.

  153. * The April 97 issue of PC Answers awarded Dr Solomon's Anti-Virus
  154.   Toolkit with the title "Recommended" and described it "as one of
  155.   the best".

  157. * In April 97 Personal Computer World reviewed Dr Solomon's HomeGuard
  158.   AntiVirus, concluding: ""Easy to use, top-class virus detection."

  160. * What Personal Computer's April 97 edition reviewed Dr Solomon's
  161.   HomeGuard AntiVirus, awarding it the maximum 5 stars: "Found all
  162.   the viruses we threw at it, and as it uses the same virus engine
  163.   as its big brother product, we expect it's going to be the
  164.   standard that all other virus programs have to match."

  166. * German Magazine "PC Anwender" conducted a comparative test of
  167.   twelve anti-virus products in April 97, with Dr Solomon's winning
  168.   the highest accolade of "Top Product": "In our tests Dr Solomon's
  169.   was found to be the best value for money.. at the forefront amongst
  170.   its competitors".

  172. * The April 16 edition of Information Week reviewed anti-virus products,
  173.   saying of Dr Solomon's "when it comes to detecting and cleaning
  174.   viruses, you can't do better".
  175.  
  176. * The April 1997 edition of Virus Bulletin conducted a comparative review
  177.   of network anti-virus products, concentrating on their centralised
  178.   administration capabilities.  Although Virus Bulletin tested only a
  179.   beta version of Dr Solomon's new Server Management Edition they
  180.   described it as "extremely powerful", going on to say that it "offered
  181.   the administrator considerable power.. particularly impressive in its
  182.   ability to control remote machines running a variety of operating
  183.   systems".

  185. * Virus Bulletin tested Dr Solomon's Anti-Virus Toolkit for Windows NT in
  186.   their April 1997 edition, finding its virus detection to be perfect.  Dr
  187.   Solomon's found 100% of the viruses in all tests conducted (In the wild
  188.   file, In the wild boot, Standard, and Polymorphic).

  190. * The April 1997 edition of Boot magazine reviewed a number
  191.   of anti-virus products with Dr Solomon's Anti-Virus coming out
  192.   on top: "Dr Solomon's hefty feature set puts it in the lead..
  193.   outstanding in its thoroughness and powerful detection
  194.   capabilities".

  196. * The April 1997 edition of PC Answers reviewed Dr Solomon's
  197.   Anti-Virus Toolkit for Windows 95.  They awarded Dr Solomon's
  198.   with the accolade of "Recommended" and said "Dr Solomon's is
  199.   a complete solution.. one of the best".

  201. * In the March 10 1997 edition of Network World Mark Gibbs reported
  202.   how his column was nearly not written due to macro virus infection.
  203.   Network World reported how two anti-virus products failed to
  204.   deal with the infection, and only Dr Solomon's could detect and
  205.   clean-up the virus correctly: "Dr Solomon's solved my problems
  206.   with great ease (and without which this column could not have been
  207.   written). My heartfelt thanks to that product for a sound and simple
  208.   solution."

  210. * In March 1997 the German magazine "Computer Bild" conducted a
  211.   comparative review of 8 anti-virus products.  Dr Solomon∩s was
  212.   determined to be the top product overall, described as "excellent
  213.   quality" and won "Editor∩s choice".  They concluded: "Dr Solomon∩s
  214.   anti-virus is state of the art.  It detected nearly 100% of the
  215.   viruses. This ensures excellent protection of your computer"
  216.  
  217. * The March 1997 issue of PC World magazine reviewed seven
  218.   anti-virus products for Windows 95 and Windows NT.  Dr
  219.   Solomon's Anti-Virus Toolkit found 100% of the viruses and
  220.   was described as "The clear leader in detecting and removing
  221.   just about any virus your PC is unlucky enough to catch".

  224. * The March 1997 edition of PC Today conducted a comparative
  225.   review of Windows NT anti-virus software.  Dr Solomon's was
  226.   described as "the most robust of all the anti-virus packages
  227.   we tested", and was awarded with the top title of "Best Buy".

  245.   every one tested.. WinGuard also successfully intercepted
  246.   attempts to send or receive infected e-mail attachments...

  249. * The February 1997 edition of What PC? reviewed Dr Solomon's
  250.   Anti-Virus Toolkit for Windows 95 describing it as "a top
  251.   performer. It can check inside the widest range of compressed
  252.   file formats, making it an excellent product for internet
  253.   users.. worth its weight in gold".  Dr Solomon's was awarded
  254.   with the title "Recommended" and achieved top score in the
  255.   virus detection test.

  257. * The January 1997 edition of German magazine WIN conducted an
  258.   extensive comparison of six anti-virus products, with Dr
  259.   Solomon's Anti-Virus Toolkit receiving the top ranking.  The Toolkit
  260.   was awarded with top marks for virus recognition, prevention,
  261.   and disinfection: "The program provides excellent virus
  262.   recognition.. the best repair rate on the market".

  264. * The January 1997 edition of OS/2 e-Zine! reviewed Dr Solomon's
  265.   Anti-Virus Toolkit for OS/2, praising its PM interface, its
  266.   ability to detect OS/2 viruses, and that it was "truly 32-bit".
  267.   The reviewer commented that "Searching for viruses is very
  268.   quick compared to the other programs and seems to be extremely
  269.   effective... The manual is so good I have actually been offered
  270.   $50 for it; I refused."

  272. * The January 1997 edition of Secure Computing conducted an
  273.   in-depth comparative review of 15 anti-virus products.  Dr
  274.   Solomon's performed better than any other product and won
  275.   the top accolade of "Best Buy": "Another world-beating
  276.   performance keeps this product as the up-front leader of
  277.   the pack - the one the rest have to beat... Dr Solomon's
  278.   Toolkit is far and away the best virus detector".

  289. * In December 1996 Secure Computing Magazine announced that
  290.   Dr Solomon's Anti-Virus Toolkits for Windows 3.x, Windows 95,
  291.   Windows NT, Novell NetWare, and OS/2 had received the high
  292.   accolade of certification under Secure Computing's Checkmark
  293.   scheme.  With a Checkmark awarded in each of the five tested
  294.   categories, Dr Solomon's Software received more than any other
  295.   anti-virus company.

  297.   "By gaining the Secure Computing Checkmark, Dr Solomon's Software
  298.   puts clear blue water between themselves and all un-Checkmarked
  299.   anti-virus products," said Paul Robinson, editorial director of
  300.   Secure Computing Magazine. "This level of commitment and the high
  301.   number of products which passed through the first wave is a strong
  302.   indicator of Dr Solomon's Software technical excellence."

  304. * The December 1996 edition of MacWorld reviewed Dr Solomon's
  305.   Anti-Virus Toolkit for Apple Macintosh: "Dr Solomon's
  306.   Anti-Virus Toolkit's ability to check DOS disks is a real plus
  307.   in this cross-platform world".

  309. * The December 1996 edition of LAN Magazine reviewed Dr Solomon's
  310.   Anti-Virus Toolkit for NetWare and Windows NT: "There is no
  311.   disputing the pedigree of this product.. the pedigree earned by
  312.   consistently excellent virus detection performance and a
  313.   reputation for immunity to false positives makes this a reliable
  314.   workhorse for anyone looking for serious virus protection".

  316. * The Christmas 1996 supplement contained within What PC? contained
  317.   an anti-virus review.  Dr Solomon's won top marks and was awarded
  318.   with Editor's Choice.

  320. * The December 1996 edition of PC Format recommended Dr Solomon's
  321.   Anti-Virus Toolkit over anti-virus products in its review of
  322.   top utilities: "Excellent virus removal software and other useful
  323.   tools for both recovery and insurance".

  325. * The Autumn 1996 edition of Business Continuity contained a feature
  326.   on Dr Solomon's Anti-Virus Toolkit, describing it as "universally
  327.   acclaimed as a world leader in virus detection and repair".

  329. * Dr Solomon's Anti-Virus Toolkit was awarded with the title of
  330.   "Recommended" in Secure Computing's November 1996 macro virus test:
  331.   "This excellent and attractive product is one of the consistently
  332.   high scoring anti-virus products in our tests".

  334. * The November 1996 edition of What PC? conducted a comparative review
  335.   of Windows 95 anti-virus products, with Dr Solomon's coming out in
  336.   top position:  "Dr Solomon's Anti-Virus Toolkit enjoys an enviable
  337.   reputation worldwide as one of the leading virus scanners.
  338.   Independent tests show that it is consistently one of the best
  339.   performers at detecting and identifying viruses... the Toolkit can
  340.   check a wider range of [compressed file] formats than any other
  341.   product... included in the price is access to Dr Solomon's legendary
  342.   technical support".  The review concluded: "For the single user this
  343.   is quite an expensive investment but it is, indisputably, the best".

  345. * The October 1996 edition of Virus Bulletin conducted a comparative
  346.   review of thirteen Windows NT anti-virus products.  Dr Solomon's scored
  347.   100% in the in-the-wild and polymorphic tests, an achievement matched
  348.   by only one other product in the test.  Virus Bulletin praised
  349.   the Toolkit's speed of scanning and described its detection rate as
  350.   "very impressive".

  352. * The Yorkshire Post reviewed Dr Solomon's Anti-Virus Toolkit on
  353.   October 29th: "It's amazing what protection you get".
  354.  
  355. * The September 1996 edition of PC LAN conducted a comparative review
  356.   of six anti-virus products for Novell NetWare and Windows NT.  Dr
  357.   Solomon's Anti-Virus Toolkit detected more viruses than any other
  358.   product.

  360. * The August 13th 1996 edition of the Daily Telegraph examined half
  361.   a dozen anti-virus products with Dr Solomon's Anti-Virus Toolkit
  362.   coming top with the highest score.

  364. * The August 1996 edition of Network Computing magazine printed the
  365.   results of its "Readers Choice Awards, 1996".  Dr Solomon's Anti-Virus
  366.   Toolkit beat a number of other anti-virus products to take top place
  367.   in the anti-virus category.

  369. * In the Summer of 1996 the University of Tampere conducted a comparative
  370.   anti-virus test.  The University's test compared results for Dr Solomon's,
  371.   and products from McAfee, Symantec (Norton), F-PROT, IBM, Microsoft
  372.   and many others. Of the 13 scanners tested, only Dr Solomon's showed a
  373.   100% detection rate for DOS, Windows 3.1 and Windows 95 "on-demand"
  374.   scanners. For DOS and Windows background scanners, which are memory
  375.   resident and constantly monitor for viruses without user intervention,
  376.   Dr Solomon's products were clearly superior versus the competition.

  379.   Anti-Virus Toolkit for Windows 95: "All round, an excellent
  380.   performance from the Toolkit".

  383.   of anti-virus products' ability to deal with macro viruses.  Dr
  384.   Solomon's Anti-Virus Toolkit scored full marks (100 per cent) in all
  385.   tests - detection, clean-up, and interception.  Virus Bulletin
  386.   described it as "An impressive performance.. especially notable for
  387.   good removal and memory-resident features".

  389. * The May 1996 edition of Secure Computing conducted an exhaustive
  390.   comparative review of Windows 95 anti-virus products.  Dr Solomon's
  391.   Anti-Virus Toolkit was awarded "Editor's Choice" and described as
  392.   "The best overall anti-virus product".

  394. * The April 1996 edition of Micro Mart reviewed Dr Solomon's Anti-Virus
  395.   Toolkit for Windows 95: "The Toolkit is a cocktail of remedies
  396.   to prevent, detect and repair the effects of virus attack".

  398. * The April 5 issue of PC Computing tested a range of different
  399.   Windows 95 anti-virus software, with Dr Solomon's Anti-Virus Toolkit
  400.   receiving the highest recommendation.

  402. * The April 3 issue of PC User conducted a comparative review of
  403.   Windows 95 anti-virus software concluding: "If you want to
  404.   customise everything easily and feel secure about what's happening
  405.   behind the scenes, then Dr Solomon's is the product for you."

  407. * The April 1996 edition of Network Computing reviewed Dr Solomon's
  408.   Anti-Virus Toolkit for NetWare describing it as having "won more
  409.   awards than I care to remember.  The product was one of the first
  410.   of its kind and a continual update process has seen it maintain

  413. * The March 1996 edition of Windows Plus magazine reviewed Dr
  414.   Solomon's Anti-Virus Toolkit for Windows 95 describing it as

  416.   is among the very best.. it's a must".  The magazine awarded the
  417.   Toolkit the title of "Windows Plus Best Buy".

  419. * The March 1996 edition of What PC? conducted a comprehensive 
  420.   comparative review of Windows 95 anti-virus products with
  421.   Dr Solomon's winning the top accolade of "Best Buy": "Our
  422.   top recommendation has to go to Dr Solomon's Anti-Virus Toolkit.
  423.   This was the only product, besides Sweep, to detect every virus.
  424.   But, as well as first-class virus detection it provides full 
  425.   protection under both Windows and DOS, a repair facility, and

  433. * The February 7 1996 edition of PC User conducted a comparative review
  434.   of network anti-virus products.  Dr Solomon's for NetWare, Windows NT,
  435.   and Windows 95 beat all other products winning the top accolade of 
  436.   "Recommended":  "The best product for overall virus detection was
  437.   Dr Solomon's Anti-Virus Toolkit.  It's a good, large-scale solution
  438.   with virtually identical interfaces across all platforms".

  440. * The February 1996 edition of PC Lan reviewed Dr Solomon's Anti-Virus
  441.   Toolkit for Windows 95 and detected all the viruses it was tested
  442.   against.  The review concluded: "An excellent anti-virus product

  444.   should check it out".

  452.   Toolkit for Windows 95 commenting that it "fared very well in PC Week
  453.   Labs' virus-detection tests, finding infected files whether they were
